My Best Project!

Image
Throughout my computer science "career" I have done many different projects both in and outside of school. One of my most memorable projects would be one that I did in grade 11 and 12 with a group of friends, outside of school. We programmed a drone and flew it with an RC controller! We made a program that would allow us to fly a drone and also have a heads-up display. The display included a compass, a speedometer, an altitude meter, as well as indicators for x and y direction and orientation. The display also had a camera viewer which showed the stream of a camera placed on the drone. From the start, the most challenging part was planning out the project. We knew this program would have multiple parts, so we planned those out first. Next, we worked on finding a way to smoothly integrate all the components into the final product. Once we began programming, it was important that we communicated often so that we would all follow the same framework for an effortless...

Who On Earth Am I?

Hello World! My name is Lazar Lolic and I am a computer science student, water polo player, and a full time fun-haver! I am currently studying at UTM in second year and I also play water polo in the National Canadian League! Weird combination - I know, but it just came to be like that. Outside of studying and writing computer programs, I also enjoy photography, and watching and playing sports. Let's travel back to 2012. One day my dad decided to take me to work with him. I got to roam around their office and watch all the different programmers code away at their computers. I also saw people working with wires and big computers. Seeing all this, I was curious. What does my dad even do at work? I started asking lots and lots of questions and became genuinely interested in the work. Fast forward to high school where my interests grew. I learned countless new things in computer science and computer engineering courses. I worked on many different projects such as creating games w...
