Who On Earth Am I?

Hello World! My name is Lazar Lolic and I am a computer science student, water polo player, and a full time fun-haver! I am currently studying at UTM in second year and I also play water polo in the National Canadian League! Weird combination - I know, but it just came to be like that. Outside of studying and writing computer programs, I also enjoy photography, and watching and playing sports.

Let's travel back to 2012. One day my dad decided to take me to work with him. I got to roam around their office and watch all the different programmers code away at their computers. I also saw people working with wires and big computers. Seeing all this, I was curious. What does my dad even do at work? I started asking lots and lots of questions and became genuinely interested in the work.

Fast forward to high school where my interests grew. I learned countless new things in computer science and computer engineering courses. I worked on many different projects such as creating games with AI, making LED cubes and stepper motor speakers, programming and flying a drone with a HUD and camera, to name a few. With all this, I decided to further pursue computer science after high school. I am now in second year at university and I love it! Currently I also have an internship at a machine automation company. I write software and work with PLCs to automate machines and production lines.

My goal is to graduate university and get an interesting and well-paying job in the computer science field. So far I have been exposed to many different fields of computer science, and as I progress through university, hopefully I will experience even more. One thing that others could help me, and likewise, I could help others, is networking. Meeting new people and friends of friends is important. You never know when you will need one's serv
ices. It it also important to leave a lasting impression so that when someone needs something, that you can provide, they will think of you. My goal in CSC290 is to expand my network, as well as to learn new valuable communication skills to use in my computer science career. I am excited about this course and I can't wait to write more.

Until next time.
